This is a longer post and a little TMIβbut anyone who has visited the trailer knows that I have always believed in being open and honest with my customers.
The trailer will not be open at The Mobile Mechanic this week. Opening the trailer for only a few hours each day to serve a small number of customers simply isn't cost-effective right now.
As a one-woman business owner who also works a full-time job, I have to be mindful of where I invest my time, energy, and resources.
With the recent influx of new drink trailers in the area, business has slowed down significantly. Some of the events and locations I've been attending for years are included. I have always done my best to keep the trailer open every weekβeven if it's only for a few hoursβbefore heading to my full-time job for an eight-hour shift.
I genuinely love being in the trailer. I love getting out into the community, traveling to different events, seeing familiar faces, meeting new customers, and making y'all delicious drinks. π₯€βοΈ
But as much as I love what I do, I also have to be realistic. I can't continue spending hours sitting in the trailer during the week or hauling the trailer to events if I'm consistently not making enough to justify the time, fuel, supplies, and effort that go into it.
I have several larger events coming up that I am excited to be a part of, and after those, I will need to take some time to seriously consider what the future of the business looks like.
I feel that the people who support my little business deserve to understand why I've taken a step back recently rather than simply wondering where I've been.
This week, I will be at the following:
β’ Wednesday evening: Westcoast Church
β’ Friday 8-11: Pop-up at Cabana Bay RV Resort Boca Grande
β’ Saturday: EYSA Soccer at the Englewood Sports Complex
β’ Sunday: Westcoast Church
Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday are open to the public, so if you've been meaning to stop by and grab a drink, come see me! I'd absolutely love to see you. π€
Thank you to everyone who has supported me, shared my posts, purchased drinks, recommended me to friends, and continued to show up for my little trailer. None of it goes unnoticed, and I am incredibly grateful.
