Hello.
This is Monday June 29th and we are almost HOME!!!
I ended up in quite a bit of nerve pain on our second day of travel (that day was in Arizona and New Mexico,) too much pain to even sleep.😩
So, I camped out there in Emory/Alba at my moms for 2 days, in her recliner. Today we are traveling the last stretch of the way….
The doctor was very pleased with my progress and healing. They removed the stitches the morning that we left Mexico. I think you can see my incision in the one picture. Notice all the fluid that disappeared on my face/ neck as well. I took the brace off for the picture. Otherwise it stays on 24/7🙈… it’s hot and uncomfortable to sleep in…. But maybe if I would have had one after the Germany surgery, maybe the wreck would not of made so much damage!
The doctor said nerve healing will be slow and painful, that there was quite a bit of damage done in my spine. But I have much less numbness than I had so that’s a good sign.
I did work on my utube videos so I made 2 more since my surgery!!!! I think I have 7 made now.

Hello!
I am still among the living…
It’s 10 days since that dreaded surgery day. I am improving a little at a time. I still have no voice and some trouble swallowing especially liquids. This big neck brace is cumbersome 😩. But, I understand its necessity.
They said I am released to slowly travel toward home this coming Wednesday, maybe 6 hours of driving a day… so that should put us in the Emory area Saturday.
I was walking on the beach a lot but the surgeon was not happy with that so I’ve cut back considerably. Maybe the beach isn’t so much the problem as the 80 stairs I have to go down and come back up to get there-dirty and sandy stairs😬.
I think I felt good doing all that walking!
I can’t thank each of you enough for all the prayers. Just keep on. The journey home will not be easy, especially with our son doing the driving.🤪 it was very kind of him to care enough to fly down to drive us back.

Hi. Just in case you can’t read the other one, it says:
We are in Tijuana Mexico.
The neurosurgeon did a new MRI and it showed that the implants that Germany put in my neck have moved and are crushing into my spinal cord. This is from the wreck we had. They will remove the hardware and put a metal rod in its place. It will be a long, tedious surgery as they try to free the nerves. The surgery is tomorrow (June 11).
I am very glad for your prayers!!
