It has been our pleasure to serve you this past year.
We couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity or way to serve our community and help bring people back together after the pandemic.
As entrepreneurs we are constantly shifting and adjusting to life. For now, this chapter has to be put on hold. Not the end of a chapter, just the book flipped over to hold our place.
We could not be prouder of the staff we have had this past year. Last summer the cafe was run solely by college and high school students. Just take pause on that. We opened at 7:30AM and they were there on their summer break at 7:00AM to serve you.
As parents, we couldn’t be prouder of our children who stepped up this past year. Lane worked full time hours last summer, Jacquelyn helped develop the syrup recipes and keep sustainability at the forefront of what we did. Will served you last summer and set up systems for payroll and calculated tips for months. Our baristas got your full credit card tip, and we manually split them per shift so the person serving you is who got the tip. Time consuming, but it was something we wanted to be sure happened for our workers. Dylan did the food and supply shopping for us making sure we were fully stocked.
We are so thankful to have met so many new faces, welcomed our dear family & friends and to have been able to partner with so many other amazing small businesses and farms. Community is held close to our hearts and supporting other small businesses is something that means so much to us.
Our last day of operation will be next Sunday, May15th. We’ll go out on a high note with Circle Donuts. There may even be a chance we open one last day before the end of the month…keep an eye out here for details.
We thank you for the bottom of our hearts.
Xo,
The Bassett Family
