Tim and I have gone back and forth on what to do, and after a lot of prayer, we made the decision back in December to close. We also made a promise to ourselves that we wouldn’t even talk about the restaurant again until March, just to give our hearts and minds time to rest.
After a lot more prayer and really looking at every option, we feel like the best decision for our family is to rent or sell.
This past weekend we got to step away, spend quality time with Penelope, and just enjoy life — and that meant more to us than anything.
While the restaurant was good to us and provided a great income, we are choosing a different path. One with less stress, more family time, and a better balance. The long hours, call-ins, constant pressure, and the toll it took on my health just isn’t where we want to be anymore.
One of the biggest blessings through all of this has been the people. We have made friendships that will last a lifetime, and so many of you have truly become like family to us. That part will always mean more than anything we built.
We do have a realtor coming Wednesday, and our plan is to move forward with trying to sell. At this point in life, we’re just looking for something simpler.
Spooners would make an amazing opportunity for someone younger, someone ready to put in the time and build something of their own. There is so much potential here for the right person.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all for the love, support, and memories over the years. Spooners will always hold a special place in our lives ❤️
Here's a short clip of our princess over the weekend...this is our life thank you all for loving her over the years.
