The original Chili Dog was started in 1969, and this little building has seen quite a few owners over it's 43 years. The business was bought by Jason and Jennie Ayers in August 2012 and officially re-opened as The Chili Dog on September 5, 2012. We offer only fresh hand-pattied beef for our burgers, all beef hotdogs with no artificial fillers, colors, or flavors, and homemade biscuits every mornin

g. It is our goal to provide the people who live in and visit Ellijay an amazing place to eat that offers a superb product, reasonable prices, a fun atmosphere and friendly faces! While we are no Glenn Burns, we feel it will be in the best interest of our awesome employees to CLOSE TOMORROW (Monday 1/27). Even though the roads may end up being perfectly passable, we are not willing to ā€œrisk it for the biscuitā€ on this one!!

A little bit of rehearsal dinner catering from last week. Itā€™s the ā€œbutter boardsā€ for usā€¦. Fresh strawberries over a lavender compound butter with a sweet strawberry balsamic glaze drizzle- yes please!! There was also the butter board topped with dried fig, fresh ground sea salt, and a generous drizzle of pure Tupelo Honey (iykyk). Photo credit to Josie Fowler. Please note the change of date. Due to extenuating circumstances out of our control, we will be closed MONDAY (3/3/25) in honor of Whitney and out of respect for Linda, Tommy, Ty, Jennie and the rest of the Burnette/Anderson families. Please take this time to hold your loved ones tight, and let that hug linger just a little longer. Life is so very precious.

We are currently hiring!! If you are friendly, can multitask, are a team player, and can be counted onā€¦.. we have a spot for you!! We are specifically in need of WINDOW help (we do NOT have an open position for grill or biscuit maker, at this time), so customer service skills and manners are highly regarded!! A few notes: training pay starts at $13/hr plus tip share. Our hours are 5 am-2 pm, but I really need some early breakfast window helpers (5 am or 6 am). This is not a position that is conducive to taking your children to school and then coming to work. Some Saturdays are a must, but I try very hard to rotate Saturdays for everyone!! Please message us on messenger or come by the restaurant to schedule a sit down. If you come by the restaurant, we will schedule a time for an interview, which will hopefully prevent some of the mishaps we have had in the past. If you have put in an application or came by to speak with me and couldnā€™t reach me, I apologize. The restaurant has been quite short staffed, and catering has started earlier this year than typical, so there have been some things that have slipped past me. Thank you and we look forward to speaking with you !!
