Today is a day filled with so many emotions as we celebrate an incredible woman who has given her heart and soul to our community for 43 amazing years.

Forty-three years ago, Fern, alongside her husband and business partner Big Bob, built something truly special. After Big Bob's passing, and later the loss of Kevin, Fern carried their dream forward with strength, determination, and an unwavering love for this community. Together, they created more than just a restaurant. They built a place where families gathered, friendships were made, and memories were shared over great food.
This year, as Fern celebrates her 65th birthday, she also celebrates something even greater... resilience. After battling breast cancer and overcoming other health challenges, she has faced every obstacle with courage and grace, proving just how strong she truly is.
While Fern is stepping back to enjoy this next chapter of life, don't worry... the Canopy legacy isn't going anywhere.❤️
With the support of her son Bobby and son-in-law Mike, the tradition that began over four decades ago will continue to thrive. Along with Canopy BBQ, they've expanded that legacy through Bull on the Loose and Retro Grill, sharing the same family recipes, hard work, and passion that have made Canopy a hometown favorite for generations.
Fern wants to thank every customer, friend, employee, and neighbor who has supported her and her family throughout the years. Your love and loyalty have meant more than words could ever express.
