It is so satisfying when you see something come to life that was a struggle. It took me "way too long" to pick a design for these cookies. It makes me even more proud when they turn out.

This is part of why these types of cookies cost. They are an art and require designing and choosing color palletes on top of baking and decorating.

The summer is my busiest time as a cookier. I am doing markets and festivals in addition to the normal custom orders. Throw in graduations, birthdays, and showers and you can see how hectic it can get.

But I LOVE it.

We had such a good time this year at the county fair. Not only did we put on a kid joke contest but Simeon won first prize.

Then off to some rides and to see the animals and crafts. Saturday's pancake breakfast and parade did not disappoint to round out a great end to our summer.
