Last night, something beautiful happened.
The room filled with familiar faces and with hearts that had come together for one simple purpose: to pursue the heart of Jesus.
We worshiped. We prayed. We shared stories and conversation. There were short messages, laughter, and tears. We sang, we listened, and we simply enjoyed being together.
But at the center of it all was worship.
There was something wonderfully simple about the evening. For a few hours, we stepped away from the noise, the programs, the expectations, and the striving, and simply gathered together as people who love Jesus and desire to know Him more.
In many ways, it reminded us of what the early Church must have felt like in the days of the apostles, not because we experienced their persecution, but because there was something beautifully familiar about believers gathering together, sharing life, praying, singing, encouraging one another, and turning their hearts toward Christ.
It felt like family.
And perhaps that is what we’ve been longing for.
Not another place to consume Christianity, but a place to live it.
As we continue forward, we want this gathering to be a place for people who aren’t simply interested in following Jesus from a distance, but who have decided to follow Him wherever He leads.
People who are willing to walk in obedience.
People who are willing to bear His burden.
People who are willing to pick up their cross.
People who want less of themselves and more of Christ.
Jesus never promised us an easy road. But He did promise to walk it with us.
So we’re opening the door wider.
If you play an instrument and would like to worship with us, we’d love to have you.
If you sing, pray, teach, testify, encourage, or simply have a heart that longs to pursue Christ, there is a place for you here.
Moving forward, we’re excited to give this gathering a name:
The Ministry of AD 33
A ministry centered around the life, death, resurrection, and continuing work of Jesus Christ, and around the people who have decided that He is worthy of their whole lives.
This isn’t about building a platform.
It’s about building one another up.
It’s not about creating a show.
It’s about returning to worship.
It’s not about gathering people around us.
It’s about gathering people around Jesus.
We’re grateful for everyone who came last night, for every voice that sang, every prayer that was prayed, every story that was shared, and every heart that came hungry for more of Christ.
And we’re just getting started.
Come pursue the heart of Jesus with us.
