this last week we got hooked up with what was supposed to increase the speed of our computer, tablets and phones. it caused a lot of trouble for us because I don't know anything about this stuff so my grandson in law who is an expert in computers. ( its how he earns a living) had to come up here and hook everything including our Alexa so we could use them. he got it done but it is not one bit faster than it was to begin with. we are paying more money for nothing. Really disgusted with Ardmore Telephone company. They are taking advantage of people.

A Pit Bull named Harley disappeared after running into the woods behind his owner’s home. Despite being microchipped, no calls ever came, and years passed without answers. His owner never stopped wondering where he ended up or if he was even still alive.

Eight years later, a text message arrived that felt impossible to believe. A woman had found Harley in poor condition and rushed him to a veterinary clinic, where staff scanned his microchip. The information was still current, and the scan revealed the contact details of the woman who had lost him so long ago.

Though she now lived more than a thousand miles away, nothing could stop her from making the trip. When the reunion finally happened, recognition was instant. Harley ran toward her, tail wagging, covering her in kisses as emotions overwhelmed them both.

After nearly a decade apart, one scan reunited a family that never stopped hoping. Read the full story below and in the comments. 👇

I don’t just miss you — I miss who I was when you were here. Back then, life felt softer, safer, like my heart knew where it belonged. Your presence gave me a kind of peace I didn’t even realize I needed, and loving you made me a gentler version of myself. With you beside me, the world felt less heavy, and I felt more whole.

Now I move through the days changed, carrying both the love you gave and the space you left behind. Missing you isn’t just about your absence — it’s about missing the part of me that existed so freely when you were here. Still, I’m grateful for that version of myself, because it was shaped by loving you. And that love, even now, continues to live on inside me.

Losing a pet is one of the hardest experiences we can face. Their love is unconditional, their loyalty unwavering, and the bond you share with them feels timeless. Yet, as much as we wish we could have them with us forever, time is something we can never control. No matter how deeply we love them, there comes a moment when we must say goodbye.

But even after they’re gone, their memory lives on in the way we care for the next pet, in the stories we tell, and in the space they once filled. The love we shared with them becomes a part of us forever. They may not be with us physically, but their spirit stays with us, comforting us through the pain of their absence.

Sometimes, we wish we could turn back time and have one more day with them. But the love they gave us will always be enough to carry us through. 🖤🐕‍🦺

We grieve because our hearts once held a love so deep it cannot be measured. Every wag of the tail, every nuzzle, is a memory that lingers. The emptiness feels unbearable, yet it is a reflection of how much we truly loved. Even in sorrow, that love continues to guide us. Losing you is hard, but loving you was worth every moment.

New Year arrived like it always does — hopeful, loud, glitter-wrapped — but my heart stepped into it barefoot, heavy with the absence of paw steps that once followed me everywhere. Midnight fireworks exploded in the sky, but the real explosion happened quietly inside me, in the hollow places you used to fill so naturally. You didn’t leave in a single moment; you faded in echoes. The first sunrise of the year felt thinner, quieter, almost apologetic. Your collar still sits where winter left it. Your leash still hangs, but without purpose. People celebrate fresh starts, but I carry a love that never needed restarting. Because you were my constant, my everyday miracle. Somewhere beyond the Rainbow Bridge, I hope your legs are young again, your breath effortless again, your world free from pain. Here, I don’t chase resolutions. I whisper reunions. Because love like ours didn’t end. It relocated. And even now, as the calendar resets, my heart refuses to. Because it still speaks your name fluently in the quiet. Not goodbye. Just waiting. Just love. Just “see you soon” whispered into forever.

What a privilege it is to have my couch or bed claimed by a sweet soul who believes it is the safest place on earth. Every paw print on the blankets feels like trust laid gently beside me. I adjust, I curl up smaller, and somehow my heart grows bigger. In that quiet closeness, love breathes easy and unguarded. They choose me when the world feels too loud or uncertain. I would give up every inch of space forever for that kind of peace.
