Hey everyone! Jon here. Just wanted you all to know that Jamaica Jay’s will be closed tomorrow, Friday, September 11.

Twenty five years ago, our nation experienced a day that forever changed America. We remember the lives that were lost, the families who never got to say goodbye, and the first responders and ordinary Americans who showed extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

Tomorrow is a day to remember. A day to reflect. And a day to hold the people we love a little closer. So, spend time with your family. Check on a friend. Tell the people closest to you that you love them!

May we never forget those we lost, those who ran toward the danger, and the way our country came together in the days that followed.

We will see everyone Saturday.

Well, this is awkward… Somehow it’s SEPTEMBER. Which means September is officially the LAST FULL MONTH of the 2026 season at the Jamaica Jay’s Shack!

Apparently shaved ice season has to end just because West Virginia eventually decides it wants to be 42 degrees, dark at 6pm, and depressing.

Ridiculous.

So consider this your warning!!!

If you’ve been driving past Jamaica Jay’s all summer saying, “We’ll stop next time,” you are officially running out of next times.
September is your month to make some poor financial decisions involving flavored ice!

September is going to be a good one, so come get your Jamaica Jay’s while the getting is good!

We challenge you to step outside of your comfort zone. Take a chance. Make a questionable decision. Order something you’ve never had before and see where life takes you.

This could be the day you discover your new favorite flavor! (Except dill pickle…. Gosh it’s so bad lol)

Don’t come knocking on our building door tomorrow, August 28th, because we’re taking the party on the road!!

But don’t worry, the Jamaica Jay’s Trailer will be set up at Community Night at Elkins High School for the Football Season Opener!

We’ll be ready to serve up all your favorite shaved ice starting at 5:30 PM!

Come out, grab some delicious shaved ice, cheer on the Elkins High School Tigers, and help us kick off football season with a BIG community night!

Bring the family, bring your friends, bring your appetite and definitely bring your sweet tooth!
