Well everybody, it sure has been a ride. We are officially at the wind-down part of our operation.

For today, we will not be serving catfish. Instead, we encourage you to support the Knights of Columbus Fish Fry at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Their meal begins at 6:00 PM and is free will donation. The Knights of Columbus are an amazing organization that gives so generously back to our community, and we are grateful for all they do.

I also realized after our last post that it may have sounded like we were not doing to-go orders. That was my mistake. I was simply turning off online ordering. We absolutely welcome carry-out orders. Please call us directly for real-time updates on inventory.

We currently expect to have inventory through late afternoon, but we may not be able to remain open until 8:00 PM as originally planned.

We are also making several batches of our homemade ranch and salsa, available in the deli case. Fresh brewed gallons of sweet and unsweet tea will be available as well, along with pie.

I truly cannot express enough gratitude for the generosity shown to my employees as we face a new chapter that feels uncertain. This community has supported us in ways that go far beyond a transaction. It is home.

After many years of serving this community, Big C’s Café will be open for two final days of service. We will be operating with a limited farewell menu. Breakfast will remain available as usual, and lunch will feature a simplified selection of some of your favorites.

To everyone who has reached out, posted, and quite literally brought me to tears with your kindness and generosity, I appreciate and love every one of you. Thank you.

I took a couple days of social media hiatus, as we all should once in a while, and found a little clarity. Again, thank you all so much for everything.

Here we go for our final two days.

Thursday, February 19th — 6:30am to 8:00pm
Friday, February 20th — 6:30am to 8:00pm

Our menu will be available in-house only. Our website and online ordering platform will be turned off. With the possibility of inventory changes in real time, we will post updates here on Facebook and in-store only.

We hope you can join us for these final days, including happy hour and available desserts. We are also planning to add some take-and-bake items to the deli case while supplies last.

We would truly love the opportunity to serve you one more time. Let’s finish strong together.

Big C’s Café will be closing regular operations on Sunday February 15th, 2026 at 2 PM. We will reopen for two final limited service days on Thursday 2/19 and Friday 2/20 as we consolidate remaining inventory and conclude operations.

This decision was based on long term economic sustainability and was not made lightly. I am sincerely sorry for how quickly this change has come and for any disappointment it may bring.

To our employees, customers, vendors, and community members, thank you. Your support, loyalty, and encouragement over the years has meant more than I can put into words.

The building will be listed for sale beginning Monday.

Gift Card Information:
If you currently hold a Big C’s gift card, we ask that you redeem it during our final service days. Gift cards will be honored through Friday’s final day of operation. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash and may not be used toward server gratuity. After Friday, gift cards will no longer be redeemable.

If you are learning this news here and we have not had the chance to speak personally, please know that was never my intention. There are so many relationships I wish I could honor individually, and I am deeply grateful for each of you.
