Happy National Margherita Pizza Day!

Fun fact- did you know the Margherita pizza was named after Queen Margherita of Savoy?

According to the story, in 1889 a pizza maker named Raffaele created a pizza for the Queen while she was visiting Naples. He used red tomatoes, white mozzarella, and green basil to represent the Italian flag. ❤️🤍💚

It’s an absolute MUST to stop at Bonci while in Rome, just outside the Vatican for excellent Roman style pizza in Taglio. Unique flavors and ingredients can’t be beat. 🍕 🇮🇹
