Unfortunately, the Emerald Creek Garnet Area will be closing for the season because the existing supply of excavated garnet material has been exhausted.

The last day of operations for this season will be Saturday, June 27.

All ticket holders have received an email notification and refunds.

The Forest Service is working to address the material shortage for future seasons, but has no plans to reopen the site this summer.

Any updates to the status of the Garnet Area will be shared on this page.
