Jose Luis Jauregui has owned restaurants in Johnson City since 2004. An innovative thinker, Jose has developed new ways to enhance the dining experience. El Charolais was one of the first restaurants in Johnson City to have authentic Mexican Foods on the menu. Tacos, sopes, and also tortas are made fresh daily and on Saturdays and Sundays we have special plates: menudi, pozole and barbacoa-de-borrego. El Charolais has the best and most refreshing margaritas in town! Their drinks are artfully presented and overflowing with fresh ingredients. Also, El Charolais offers a contemporary sports bar atmosphere every day built around customer service with help from a friendly wait staff. Quality products, delicious food and a family-oriented environment make for an all-around great dining experience. Happy Hour is every Monday & Wednesday 5 - 10 pm (13 oz margaritas) and on Tuesday & Thursday (32 oz draft beer) that can be accessed from both the inside or outside.
