HEY,,, a new place to eat has opened up in ELGIN, IA,,,,It's called the "ELGIN CAFE" very good classic ne iowa cafe specials,,,at a very good ne iowa price!!!! its sooo cool to drive into downtown elgin on a friday or saturday night and see the downtown area full of cars from the VERY tastey fish fry on friday,,,,to the SURF&turf on saturdays!!!!

Updates on Benny' s restaurant. Menu is made a finalized copy will be available soon. He has equipment costs, utility costs, and rent/deposit figured. He will be meeting with food vendor on Friday to get rough starting food expence. He would greatly appreciate any help you can give in this endeavor even if it is only 5$ every little bit helps.

If all the more than 1,000 people who liked, shared and commented on Zins' midweek Facebook announcement that the downtown Cedar Rapids eatery was in danger of closing actually walk through the restaurants doors and order a meal, the crisis would be averted for at least two months.
