Shout out and big thank you to everyone that has given us a shot so far! The feedback has been wonderful and I can't tell you how appreciative we are. The goal here is simple - provide delicious, home made and home grown food that isn't the microwaved or processed slop that seems to be ubiquitous nowadays.

And what do we say to shrinkflation? - NOT TODAY! Our portions dwarf the competition. We remember a time not so long ago when quality and customer experience actually mattered - not just how much slop you can pump out each quarter to keep your shareholders happy.

Bring it back to basics, we say. Hearty, fresh and affordable. Simple. The way it's supposed to be.

Ya'll know what's crazier than opening a new business in this market? Still paying $17 for microwaved "food" that came out of a plastic bag.

We think some of you are right there with us, so we decided to do something about it.

We think Elgin deserves better than over priced, bland food of increasingly smaller portions. So we're doing it the hard way — smoking our meat low and slow, breakfast tacos made fresh every morning, and home made salsa from veggies we grow and hand-till ourselves right here in town. No shortcuts, no bull, just hearty TX food done right.
