Negroni’s origins can be traced back to early 1900’s Florence, Italy 🇮🇹

Bigfoot’s version of the classic bitter cocktail uses equal parts of Carpano Antica Formula sweet vermouth, Los Poblanos Western Gin & Cappelletti aperitif with a wedge of orange. 🍊

Traditionally an extra slow-sipper, this bittersweet drink is a great pre-meal cocktail to help relax & stimulate your appetite.

It’s the time of the season for a Sierra Spritz! 🍾🍓🍊

Cool off quickly with a refreshing spritz at Bigfoot Restaurant, Elephant Butte Lake.

Your choice of Haus Alpenz Cappelletti Orange or Chambéryzette Strawberry on ice with club soda & DOC Prosecco.

Cappelletti is a classic w**e-based red bitter aperitivo from Trento-Alto Adige in Italy. It is vibrant & dry with the herbal bitterness of orange peel, citrus, rhubarb & gentian root.

Chambéryzette is a w**e apéritif from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. It has the aromas, acidity & flavors of wild alpine strawberries. It’s the sweeter of our 2 spritzes - but without being overly sweet.

The word “Spritz” comes from the German word “Spritzen,” meaning splash. When Austrian soldiers were stationed in Venice in the 1800s leading up to WWI, they would request a splash of water in Italian bitter aperitivi. This helped make the drinks more palatable to soldiers who were not used to the bitter flavors.

In the 1950’s, Prosecco & club soda began to replace the splash of water.

You never know who you will meet at the Bigfoot Restaurant pet patio!

Bacon came all the way from El Paso with his pet parents to visit the lake & hot springs. 🐖 ☀️

He had a fun Sunday lunch at Bigfoot & got to cool off under our pet patio misters before the ride home.

Bacon was a ray of light for our staff & patrons.

Remember if you want to take an adventure with your four legged friends, our pet area is open when we are!

And yes, we have bacon on our burgers. Sorry, Bacon. 😄 🍔 🥓
