Cafe C, acclaimed local chef Yvan Chalaye's newest restaurant creation, is a spinoff from Cafe Campanile, the restaurant he successfully ran for the past several years in Town Center . Prior to that, Yvan and his wife Mary owned and operated Christophe's in Folsom for 11 years, which they sold in 1997. "The couple made it one of the best restaurants in the area," said the Sacramento Business Journal. Then after a brief retirement, in 2005 they opened Cafe Campanile, as a more casual, modern take on traditional French country cooking, with hearty French comfort-food items like rack of lamb, cassoulet, cider-brined pork and coq au vin...and now, Cafe C is Yvan's newest spin as he takes the neighborhood, casual feel of Campanile, and he brings it to a more intimate location directly under Regal Cinema's Town Center location, opening up the possibilities for EDH's dining crowd to enjoy a quiet dinner and a movie all within steps of each other.
