If you’re in Chicago, you definitely need to come here. It was just absolutely amazing from the lamb chops to the candied orange dessert cake . The owner is just the best her name is Vicky , she brought us over the homemade Greek orange cake after I told her we are in the food business as well , she sat down and talked with us for at least an hour. She taught us so many different things in that hour that we will remember for my rest of our lives she is 73 years old it was like sitting down with my aunt . I definitely will be visiting her again or she will be visiting me hopefully during the holidays.
This is not the last time in my life that I will be with this woman, hopefully It will in be Greece when she travels back to her home this year because I told her I wanted to travel there this winter, . I told her she was also welcome to my home as well. She would not let me take her picture because she said she was a sweaty mess , she was really not , so I found this picture of her on the page for the business , you can follow it as well.
You know in this business I have met so many beautiful , interesting people in my life that own restaurants , but with this woman we just clicked , she was beautiful inside and out 🥰 please support your mom and pop restaurants. This is definitely one of them that I and my daughters will never forget!
She even gave us some dried Greek oregano that she brings back from her country , she said it is grown between rocks in the mountains and it’s what she uses on her meats. I didn’t want to leave , I just wanted her to teach me more and talk to her more , she is just such a loving, caring and beautiful person, you don’t get to meet many people like her in your life . You can definitely taste the love she puts it in her food !
