It breaks my heart to write this today.
Our Nancy’s Country Kitchen family has lost a truly special friend, Pat Hickerson.
Pat was our plumber, but to me he was so much more than that. He was the kind of man who never hesitated to lend a hand, no matter what. If something needed to be done, Pat was there.
When my well pump failed and I was afraid I’d have to close the restaurant, Pat came by every single morning to prime the pump so we could stay open while we figured out the problem. He helped move heavy equipment when I couldn’t do it alone, and whenever I needed him, he showed up without hesitation. He always went above and beyond, never asking for anything in return.
Pat was one of the good ones—honest, hardworking, dependable, and genuinely kind. He touched so many lives through his generosity and willingness to help others. He made a difference here at Nancy’s Country Kitchen and in my life in ways he’ll probably never know.
I hate having to write this because it means we’ve lost a wonderful friend.
On behalf of everyone at Nancy’s Country Kitchen, we extend our deepest condolences to Pat’s family and everyone who loved him. Thank you for sharing such an incredible man with all of us.
Rest in peace, Pat. Thank you for your friendship, your kindness, and for always being there when we needed you. You will never be forgotten.
