🚘 Route 66, Hot Rods & New Friends 🇺🇸
As Route 66 celebrates its 100th anniversary, it seems only fitting that North Main Diner would welcome travelers who are keeping the spirit of the American road trip alive.
Today we had the pleasure of meeting Coby, Patrick, Brice, and Matt, four gentlemen participating in the 2026 Hot Rod Power Tour Long Haul.
Their adventure started in Virginia and will take them all the way to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Along the way they’re driving classic trucks, meeting people, making memories, and experiencing America one mile at a time.
When they stopped in Edwardsville for lunch, we got to hear a little about their journey and admire the trucks that brought them here. From the Hot Rod Power Tour badges around their necks to the beautiful classic pickups parked outside, it was easy to see they’re living an adventure many of us only dream about.
One of the best parts of owning a diner is meeting people from all over the country. Some come for breakfast, some come for lunch, but every now and then someone comes through with a story worth sharing.
As America celebrates a century of the Mother Road, it’s a reminder that the journey is just as important as the destination. The friendships, the stories, the roadside diners, and the memories made along the way are what make these adventures so special.
Thank you, Coby, Patrick, Brice, and Matt, for choosing North Main Diner as part of your journey. We hope the food fueled the next leg of your trip and that the memories you make on the road last a lifetime.
Safe travels, gentlemen. If your travels ever bring you back through Edwardsville, your table will be waiting.
