What a night!🍷Last night we welcomed Napa Valley’s Titus Vineyards (Titus Vineyards) to The Old Icehouse for a special five-course w**e dinner with 30 wonderful guests.

Eric Titus, General Manager & Vineyard Operations Manager at Titus, joined us in person to share the story of his family’s vineyard and an inside look at how they grow and produce their w**es.

Bruce Upthegrove of Artisan co-hosted the evening, while Executive Chef Zach Hutton (Zach hutton) curated a five-course menu thoughtfully paired with, and inspired by, hand-selected Titus w**es. And major appreciation to Kayla Hutton and Liz Holz for the attention to detail and presentation to tie the night together perfectly!

As the sun went down and the candles took over, it turned into exactly the kind of evening we love creating at The Old Icehouse.

We all grieve in different ways. This is ours. ❤️

Like so many people, we were saddened by the passing of Dolly. And while there’s no real silver lining in losing someone who brought so much joy to the world, we wanted to find a small way to turn that sadness into something good and to honor a piece of the legacy she leaves behind.

So, in true Icehouse fashion, we’re doing it with a cocktail, a little wordplay, and a cause worth supporting.

From today through 9/25 (our little nod to 9 to 5) we’ll donate $3 from every Islands in the Stream cocktail sold at The Old Icehouse to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, the program she founded to put books into the hands of children around the world.

Have a drink. Raise a glass to Dolly. Help us send a few more books to a few more kids.

We think she’d like that. ❤️📚

Music is at the core of our existence. Dolly was a national treasure and we are devastated to hear of her passing. We even have a drink on our menu named for her … our Islands in the Stream. We’ll be knocking a few back in her honor this week for sure!

A note from our owner:

Dolly Parton was my grandmother Loretta Rund’s favorite performer, so in many ways, I was born a Dolly fan. Some of my fondest memories are of my grandmother playing Dolly’s songs. Music that became part of the soundtrack of my childhood and a connection to her that I still carry with me today.

I never had the honor of crossing paths with Dolly, but through her music, her kindness and the joy she brought into our home, it somehow feels as though she has always been part of my life. I was born a fan, and I will remain one until my own time comes. Rest well, Dolly, and thank you for the music and the memories.
