I don’t know if I’ll ever quite have the words for what this week meant to me. 🤍
The growth we’ve experienced at Sweet Friends has been surreal. Every time we plan one of our themed weeks, we look at the last one and say, “Okay, let’s make MORE this time.” So we do. We bake more, prep more, order more, plan more…and somehow, you guys continue to show up bigger than we ever imagined.
And then we sell out again. 🥹
I know selling out can be disappointing, and I am genuinely sorry to anyone who came in hoping for something that was already gone. We want everyone who walks through our doors to get the full experience. We love these themed cases SO much, and we pour everything we have into making them feel special.
When you come in, you see the overflowing cases, the decorations, the costumes, the fun drinks and the smiling faces behind the counter. But what you don’t see are the 2:30am clock-ins. The 15-hour days. The kitchen that never stops moving. The people who come in on their days off, pick up extra shifts, stay late and just keep going until there’s nothing left to make.
And I don’t say any of that to complain. Quite the opposite. I say it because I want you to know just how much we love doing this for you.
Saturday, when I finally had left and I got into my car, I completely broke down in tears. Partly from pure exhaustion 😂 but mostly from this overwhelming feeling of gratitude. Because somehow this little dream of mine became something our community shows up for.
You let me build Sweet Friends here. You let me dream up ridiculous themed weeks and transform our little bakery into different worlds. You bring your kids. You make traditions here. You stand in lines. You tell your friends. You come back year after year. And every single time we think we’ve prepared enough for you, you remind us just how loved this little place is.
There is no tired quite like this tired, but there is also no gratitude quite like this gratitude.
Thank you for another absolutely magical Wizard Week. ⚡️✨
Thank you for loving Sweet Friends And thank you, Edmond, for letting me live this dream. 🤍
Looking forward to a relaxing weekend to recover.
See ya next week! 💕
