this content is for the designers (so if your brain is feelin a lil smooth this morning, keep scrolling no hard feelings [only soft ones])

traveling and absorbing art & sensory experiences together is one of our love languages and we get a lot of questions on what drove the design in our space. this one’s about identifying how different communities in a city or space negotiate visual language over time.

i remember in early conversations with other creatives, i mentioned wanting to make a Filipino-inspired third space and the first words that would come up were “Chinatown”, “H-Mart”, and “tiki bars”.

don’t get me wrong, all those sound good & nice but a lot of times when you have an idea that hasn’t quite been done before you’re going to have to figure a lot of it out by yourself — learning how to communicate those ideas to others and direct the ex*****on is going to be your best friend. and when all that fails, be prepared to strap up & drill the holes yourself 🙂‍↕️

AUG 29th @ 7pm - The More Supper Club is back for an exclusive family dinner. We’re partnering up with Tony (founder of RGV Asian Night Market) to bring you into the parts of La Kultura you might only experience when you’re invited to the house party. Our cultures typically unfold in the home among friends & family and this dinner concept dreamt up by Tony brings us together in community once again to share stories over a home cooked meal in an elevated setting. Doors will open at 6pm for a listening lounge mixer & dinner will be served at 7pm.
