Mediterranean Chicken Salad
Baby greens topped with grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, artichokes, olives and Parmesan, served with vinaigrette.

Prosciutto Pesto Chicken Sub
Crispy chicken, pesto, prosciutto, baby greens, Parmesan and balsamic glaze on one of our house-made rolls. Served with chips.

Meet the Owner 👋

Hi, I’m Ginna, the owner of Basilwood Kitchen.

The idea behind Basilwood is actually pretty simple. When my kids were younger, I was always looking for places where I could get them fresh, real food that was still affordable — somewhere between fast food and an expensive sit-down restaurant. And honestly, those places were hard to find.

Years later, I decided to build the place I wish I’d had back then.

At Basilwood, we make our pasta fresh right here in the kitchen. We make our own focaccia and sub rolls, hand-roll our meatballs, make our sauces and prepare food the way I’d want to feed my own family.

I want you to be able to stop in on a Tuesday night, feed your family really good food, and not feel like going out to eat has to be a special occasion.

We’ve only been open a month, and I’m incredibly grateful for how Edgewater has welcomed us. We’re still learning, still growing and definitely still making a whole lot of pasta.

We’re in the Capital Gazette and Baltimore Sun

What an incredible feeling to see Basilwood Kitchen featured in our local paper. We opened our doors just a few weeks ago with a simple goal: make fresh, homemade Italian food and create the kind of neighborhood place we’d want to eat at ourselves.

The response from the Edgewater and Annapolis community has been more than we could have hoped for. Thank you to everyone who has stopped in, come back again (and again!), told a friend, shared a post, or simply offered a kind word. We’re learning, growing and getting better every day — and we’re so grateful you’re along for the ride.
