James Lawson
There's nothing like clean , hilarious comedy that the whole family can enjoy. Growing up in a Christian household I know for sure that "church folk" love to laugh. Laughter is one of God's gifts that makes the heart merry and I am passionate about bringing my ministry with tasteful humor to churches and family events everywhere. Taking the time to tailor my act to accommodate the uniqueness of each event is my standard, to assure that those that request my services always feel special.
I've been blessed to open for some of the biggest names in comedy such as D.L. Hughley and have become one of the most requested headliners in the D.M.V. area.

This Richmond Virginia native has won numerous comedy contests at the Richmond Funny Bone which earned him the title of fan favorite. After becoming a regular host at the club he later had the opportunity to feature for some of the biggest names in comedy such as DL Hughley , Tommy Davidson , and John Witherspoon to name a few.

Now James Lawson tours the country headlining for clubs, colleges, and private venues of all kinds. His unique ability to tailor his act for each particular audience makes him one of the most diverse and booked comedian in Virginia. Making appearances on Comcast Cable's on Demand channel and TV One's News One with Rowland Martin , James Lawson has yet to reach his full potential of success.

In 2018 Mr. Lawson was given the opportunity to work on set of the major motion picture titled "Harriet", a movie about Harriet Tubman due to release in 2019. Keep your eyes open for this talented performer with a laugh out loud comedy act that you simply MUST SEE !!

He has been seen at the Funny Bone Comedy Clubs, Cozzys Comedy Club, and many more. https://www.thecrabshackedgewater.com/updates/comedy
