2025 was swift, sweet and full of joy. We are grateful for everyone who makes Houlme such a special place to dine. We often refer to the restaurant as our little living room, which is overwhelmingly true. Thank you for letting us feed you, thank you for sharing your lives with us, thank you for a special year. We are settling in to a short break and will return at the end of the month. Best wishes from our table to yours. Jay, Jocelyn and team Houlme.

This week in the restaurant we are serving runner beans braised in a stock of toasted hay and habanada, with matsutakes and crispy parmesan. It doesn’t suck.

Gift certificates are available for your holiday needs, and we are officially opening catering bookings for 2026.

What began as survival during the dreadful COVID era has now morphed into a holiday tradition. The winter 2025/26 Pizza & Wine Club is live in our store. For the uninitiated this is a month by month club where we personally deliver frozen pizza and beautiful wines to your door, if your door is somewhere between Bellingham and Olympia. We also deliver to the Eastside area and of course, Orcas Island! There is also a pickup location in Fremont.
The Pizza & Wine Club makes a wonderful holiday gift. We are so looking forward to seeing your faces and petting your dogs.

Announcing our first wine dinner of 2025 with ! 12 years ago, when we started Hogstone, these wines were a guiding light as to where we wanted to steer our wine program and the producers that we wanted to champion. On June 11th we will celebrate some of those esteemed pioneers of natural wine that mean so much to us. We will be pouring Ganevat, Foillard, Hauvette and more! We are often asked if we would ever consider offering cooking classes and we are so pleased to finally take the leap. Here are 4 classes that we will be teaching at Houlme this winter.
Last year taught a few classes with Parks & Rec and found that he really enjoyed the experience and sharing his love for cooking in a new format. Please join us! If you sign up for all 3 classes( the second pizza class will be the same as the first) you will receive a 10% discount.
