SOLD OUT!!!!! We are fully reserved for Sanchez and Sanchez tonight at 630! We do have deck seating available and if it's warm enough, will open the doors and can accommodate you outside. Also sometimes... we get turnover at the halfway point through the concert so if you're dying to hear the guys, stop by around 730 and maybe we can fit you in!!!!

Collecting and reselling cookbooks is one of the things I love most about the shop. Sometimes you find some really interesting stuff tucked inside a book which can lead to sleuthing... This little book had recipes scrawled on a pad nicked from the Beverly Hills Hotel and a scrap of paper from Harrah's Casino in Lake Tahoe. Another had a heavy wedding grade envelope addressed to Mr & Mrs. Jerry Weintraub from Merv Adelson and family. Barry Gross was a cinematographer. Merv Adelson was the co-founder of Lorimar Studios. Jerry Weintraub was a music manager and film producer (The Karate Kid, Oceans Eleven) and kind of a tough character around Hollywood. His wife Jane Morgan Weintraub was a popular singer in the 40's and 50's and they lived in the house below at 661 Doheny Road in Beverly Hills. The Weintraubs also had a house in Kennebunkport. Jane Morgan Weintraub died at 101 last August and the contents of her Kennebunkport house went up for sale. Clementine Paddleford's connection to the whole thing remains a mystery.
