A year ago today, I shared a picture of this little mermaid, wondering if she would be the only thing we had left from the fire. 💔

She was painted for me years ago by Shannon Swann, and somehow she survived.

Well, she’s finally home! 🧜‍♀️

She’s sitting by our front door now, tucked in with some seashells.

I never imagined a little painted rock could mean so much to me. We’ve been through a lot this past year, and there are still things I miss every single day.

But seeing her here in our new home makes me happy. Just one little piece of our old life that made it through with us. ❤️
