I’ve shared some of my most vulnerable moments on social media for the 1st time ever. Allowing friends, family, and even strangers a glimpse into the reality of LIFE. Most people only know what we choose to show them—the superficial things, the fun, the laughter, the good moments.
But this? This is different. This is intimate. This is real.
I share this because mental health is REAL. And sometimes, the people we believe are the strongest are silently carrying the heaviest battles.
But I also want people to understand the unimaginable pain that is left behind when someone we love is no longer here. The questions, the emptiness, the memories, and the heartbreak that a family carries every single day. There is no way to fully understand that pain until you’re living it.
If you are struggling, please know that your life matters. Your presence matters. Even when you can’t see a way through the pain, there are people who would rather walk through the darkness with you than have to learn how to live without you.
My son promised he would take me to this beautiful chapel someday because it was on my bucket list for such a long time.. My last visit to him, he couldn’t take me. It was closed due to damages by a storm. Weeks later he went and sent me pictures. So I made myself a promise to get here before leaving South Carolina. I just never imagined I would be there without him.
Brandon, I wish more than anything that you had stayed. We would have walked through every bit of the darkness with you. We love you, and we will carry your name and your memory with us for the rest of our lives. 💔🙏🏼😪🕊️
I WILL LIFT UP MY EYES TO THE HILLS
