The Inn at 202 Dover and the Peacock Restaurant closed in December 2018 and was sold in April 2019.
Thank you for your support for the sixteen years we were in business.
We are retired now. The Tidewater has taken over the inn but they did not reopen the restaurant.

The Peacock Restaurant & Lounge is thrilled to announce that Hamilton House's Executive Chef Jordan Lloyd, formerly of the Bartlett Pear is the Executive Chef of the Peacock Restaurant and Chris Mitchell is the Chef De Cuisine of the Peacock Restaurant.

Please plan on joining Chef's Jordan and Chris for dinner Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday evenings 5:30-8:30

Chef's Jordan and Chrisl will be teasing your pallet for Valentine's Day Weekend.

My husband and I visited on his birthday. It is located in a beautiful historic house (be sure to ask about the history). We turned out to be one of two couples enjoying dinner on a Monday night. It turned out that they are usually closed in January, but opened for us because we had made a reservation, and had an event later that week. It was quite a treat for us. Service was fantastic, and dinner was off menu, small, but with good choices of entrees. It was a delightful and relaxed evening with excellent food and wine. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys high end dining, but without the high expense of exceptional service and food.

Best restaurant on the Shore!
Hidden gem! This is a special place! We had such a fantastic meal and experience that we had to go back the next night. Meats are all prime cuts and all sauces are made from scratch. Great service and unmatched charm of a 19th century mansion. Recommend staying in the Inn which is equally as charming and exquisite. Great get away weekend.

Summer visit

While many restaurants can't stand up to the big influx of summer visitors, this fine dinning location excels. Fig salad, wild boar, prime filet ; all were just perfect. Keep u the fine food andwonderful atmosphere, and attentive service.

Without a doubt, the most beautifully restored, most elegant Inn with the finest cuisine we have experienced.The five suites are each unique and are all furnished perfectly, as well as being very spacious and comfortable. The cuisine in the Peacock Restaurant is worth the trip, if you weren't a guest.Five stars all around !!
