An appreciation post for the barista extraordinaires and hospitality pros that make up the Spectracolor crew.
Yesterday was a day. We were a little short staffed, half the electric went out, the hot water shut off, the dishwasher was on the fritz, the espresso machine decided to stop working… pure chaos energy. Against all these odds, after walking through our doors, most customers left a little more ready to do whatever it was they were setting out to do with their day. This team kept it all going.
They still made great drinks and welcomed our regulars. They still had fun behind the counter and laughed with customers. They still hosted an evening event for 45 moms who made time to get together, laugh, and talk about their dreams. They still made Spectracolor that reliable third place where people can find a spark to light up their day.
That doesn’t happen because the equipment works. It happens because of the humans behind the counter.
One thing that’s always mattered to me is that Spectracolor is a place the community can rely on seven days a week. Life doesn’t give you days off, thats why we try not to either. Yesterday, despite all the obstacles, this crew made that happen.
I’m incredibly grateful and proud of what they do every day. Thank you all for always showing up and making hospitality look effortless—even when it definitely isn’t. Spectracolor is what it is because of all of you.
