Last year, one brave woman — Angie Faherty — joined Lehigh Valley’s Wheels of Thyme team (historically an all male team) in the annual Chef’s Cycle ride: a grueling two-day challenge covering 100 miles each day. Chef’s Cycle raises funds for No Kid Hungry, an organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger in the USA.
This year… there are THREE of us! Being a woman in the food industry is powerful — and it’s hard. Women are still underrepresented in leadership roles across hospitality, and it’s even rarer to see women take on endurance challenges like this together. That’s what makes this year so meaningful.
The Lehigh Valley now has three strong, determined women - Laura Fay (Owner of Spectracolor Coffee), Emily Fischer and Angie Faherty (Co-Chefs at Limeport Inn) - training for a ride that fights childhood hunger. We’re showing up for our industry, for our community, and for kids who deserve full plates and full potential. We need your support! Every dollar donated helps us reach our individual $4,500 fundraising goals and will go directly to supporting the No Kid Hungry cause.
