Update! I have done my due diligence, inspections, environmental surveys, and appraisal.
I have secured financing.
The septic has been replaced.
A very long 4 year struggle should come to a “beginning” on June 30th when I am scheduled to close on the sale of the property.
I am thrilled that I can keep The Star Drive-In alive!
I am so happy that we can continue to offer Free Community Events All Year!
When I purchased the business in 2016, I employed only 9 employees. I now employ 26 employees and many are full time. Many have been local Regional Culinary students and also Taunton High students.
When I purchased the business from Tom & Jimmy, My daughter could barely reach the top of the old school Electrofreeze soft serve ice cream machine and she is now going into her Junior Year at Williams College in Williamstown.
The thought of owning my own business 10 years ago, was daunting. I was petrified. Now the thought of owning the property that the business sits on is even more scary and I’m hoping I’m making the right decision at my age.
I think I have more in me and I know I have a great team that will continue to offer the freshest seafood, delivered 7 days a week by Kyler's Catch Seafood Market and Kitchen and I will be in a position to improve the property, restroom upgrades, AC for my team, building improvements and who knows, maybe even an extended dining area.
I never had the money, desire or drive to do much more than I have because I couldn’t take it I was going to
leave.
Sorry to be long winded. But so many customers are asking everyday.
I promise the Movies Under The Stars line-up will be posted on July 1st. If the closing happens on June 30th..
Look for my post after the close at 9:30am on Tuesday June 30th.
