🐊 ATTENTION WELDERS, FABRICATORS & CREATIVE REDNECK ENGINEERS… 😂

Following the tragic loss of Cletus Clyde, we’ve carefully reviewed the condolences AND the unsolicited engineering advice.

So far we’ve heard: rebar, concrete, iron, thick posts… and apparently a female gator because maybe the boys just aren’t cut out for this job. 😂

Someone even offered us a Georgia Bulldog mailbox.

Grief makes people say some terrible things. 💙🧡😂

But y’all got us thinking…

Maybe Gator #3 shouldn’t come from a store. Maybe somebody needs to BUILD him. 🐊

So… is there anybody around here crazy enough to take this on?

Welder? Fabricator? Concrete artist? Somebody with a shop, questionable ideas, and an unreasonable amount of confidence? 😂

We want a one-of-a-kind Corky Bell’s Gator Mailbox — fun, unmistakably Gator, and preferably capable of surviving longer than two football seasons.

🎉🐊 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE MAN, THE MYTH, THE REASON WE ALL STRAIGHTEN UP A LITTLE WHEN HE WALKS IN… CORKY! 😂
Today we’re celebrating the man behind Corky Bell’s, our fearless leader, professional problem solver, resident comedian, and the only person who can make you laugh and wonder if you’re in trouble at the exact same time. 😂
If you know Corky, you know he’s quick-witted, always has something to say, runs a tight ship, and somehow manages to keep all of us in line… most of the time.
Behind that stern look (you know the one 👀😂) is a man who has poured years of hard work, dedication, and heart into this restaurant and the people in it.
So today, we’re giving the boss a little recognition — because apparently even Corky has to have a birthday. 🎂😂

Help us wish Mr. Corky Bell himself a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 🥳🐊

We hope your day is full of good food, plenty of laughs, and absolutely ZERO problems for you to deal with.

🐊🕊️ IN LOVING MEMORY OF CLETUS CLYDE GATOR 🕊️🐊
2024 – 2026

It is with extremely heavy hearts, and honestly a little disbelief that this has happened AGAIN, that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved mailbox, Cletus Clyde Gator.

Cletus came into our lives after the tragic loss of his predecessor, Gary Bob, who was also taken from us far too soon in a roadside incident back in 2024.

After Gary Bob’s passing, our Facebook family helped us name the new guy. The votes were counted, the people had spoken, and Cletus Clyde Gator was born. 🐊

For two beautiful years, Cletus stood faithfully by the road.
Rain or shine.
Day and night.
Mail or no mail.

He asked for nothing.

Except, apparently, not to be hit by a vehicle.

Unfortunately, that proved to be too much to ask. 😭

Cletus Clyde was struck and has sustained injuries from which no mailbox could reasonably be expected to recover. He leaves behind a devastated Corky Bell’s family, countless loyal customers, and one extremely dangerous piece of roadside real estate that has now claimed TWO GATORS.

He was preceded in death by Gary Bob. 🕊️🐊

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you please KEEP YOUR VEHICLE ON THE ROAD AND OFF OUR GATORS. 😂

Funeral arrangements are pending.

Please respect our privacy during this incredibly difficult and completely ridiculous time.

Rest easy, Cletus Clyde.
You stood your ground until somebody quite literally took you out. 💔🐊
