💘 Of course, we LOVE serving up delicious ice cream, but being nominated as a “Community-Oriented Company” really hits us right in the heart.

🚪 From the day we opened our doors, we wanted Crockery City to be about more than ice cream. We wanted to be part of the excitement happening in East Liverpool, to support our schools and organizations, to partner with other local businesses, and to simply be a place that brings people together.

🫶🏻 To be recognized in BOTH categories means more to us than we can put into words.

🙏🏻 Thank you to whomever nominated us, to our amazing Flavor Friends, and to this community for embracing our little ice cream shop.

🎨 🍨 Ice Cream Meets Art! We had a great time meeting the talented students from the Daw Middle School Art Club!

🍎📏 This all started when Miss Roth stopped by Crockery City Creamery & Confectionery and asked if we might be interested in collaborating with her students on a project for the shop.

🕵🏻‍♂️ We’ve been searching since we opened for the PERFECT “Hours of Operation” sign—and then it hit us: why buy one when we could partner with some talented local students to create something truly unique?

💡We had the opportunity to visit Daw, share our ideas, answer some great questions, and turn the project over to the students. Now we can’t wait to see what they come up with!

🩷 We love opportunities like this that connect our small business with local schools and give young artists a chance to see their work become part of our shop.

🫶🏻 A huge THANK YOU to Miss Roth and the Daw Art Club students for partnering with us. We’re excited to see your creativity at work.

😂🚚 And when we say Art Club, we mean art art . . . not Art, our Perry's Ice Cream delivery driver. We’re pretty sure his talents are better suited for keeping our freezers full.

🎬 Crockery City Creamery & Confectionery is SO excited to be invited back to The Beat Box for their season-ending show on Saturday, October 3.

🪑 If you haven’t experienced a night at The Beat Box yet, you’re missing out. It’s such a cool, intimate setting to kick back and enjoy the incredible live music they bring to our area.

🍂 And this night has all the ingredients for a perfect fall evening:

🙌🏻 We couldn’t agree more with the Columbiana County Port Authority— things are happening in East Liverpool!

There are so many dedicated people working every day to revitalize our community and build momentum for the future.

What’s especially exciting is the collaboration we’re seeing among state, county, municipal, and private partners. When everyone works together toward a common goal, great things can happen—and we’re seeing that right here in East Liverpool.

There’s still plenty of twork ahead, but the energy, investment, and commitment to our community are encouraging.

🫶🏻 Thank you to everyone who is working together, investing in our community, and helping bring back ELO!

🍨👑 A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO TERRY & SHEILA CALHOUN!

Some evenings at Crockery City Creamery & Confectionery remind us that what we do is about so much more than ice cream. Friday night was one of those evenings.

From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank Terry Calhoun and his wonderful wife, Sheila, for their kindness, generosity, and friendship.

Terry and Sheila quietly decided to pay it forward. From 5pm to 7pm, anyone who came into Crockery City Creamery & Confectionery and said the phrase “Crown of the Ohio” had their ice cream purchased by the Calhouns.

Twenty-five people came through our doors—and Terry and Sheila treated every one of them. ❤️

But the ice cream was only part of the treat.

Terry spent the evening visiting with our patrons and sharing his incredible knowledge of the history, people, places, and stories of our area. Terry has spent years researching the Crown of the Ohio, the geographical area along the Ohio River that is the focus of his work in anthropology. Listening to him talk, you quickly realize just how much he knows—and, more importantly, how much he genuinely loves this place and its people.

And we have to say this…

If you remember the commercials featuring “The Most Interesting Man in the World,” you could have met our local version Friday night at Crockery City! 😂 Terry is one of those people you could sit and listen to for hours and still walk away wishing you had more time.

Terry and Sheila, your generosity meant more to us than you probably realize. You didn't just buy 25 people ice cream. You brought people together. You started conversations. You shared stories. You made people laugh. And you gave us one of those evenings that reminds us exactly why we love being part of this community.

We are truly grateful to know you both and honored that you chose our little creamery as the place to share your kindness.

❤️ Thank you, Terry and Sheila. Truly.

Friday night was about ice cream, history, friendship, generosity, and community—and we won't soon forget it.
