Hi everyone. Please forgive our absence from social media. We’ve required it for what I’m about to share. After a few weeks of weighing our options, we have decided to permanently close Sia’s Garden Grown at 220 N. Highland Ave. The decision was not an easy one to make, but the accident our family endured on March 29th, 2020 came with many obstacles and setbacks, some a lot larger than we anticipated.
One thing we know for sure is the commitment it takes to successfully run a restaurant, even a small one, is not possible at this time due to these circumstances. We were hopeful, but sadly this past year has shown us how much has changed and that our focus needs to be on navigating some new normals right now.
Ok—no more sad talk. We want to extend a heartfelt Thank you to everyone who supported us in this journey! East Liberty is such a special place with a bright future and what we loved most were you, the customers. We met so many amazing people and hope those relationships continue on in some way, shape, or form.
💚Thank you for eating our weird sammys, like the Muffulletta, and our crazy, gigantic eggplant/squash agro dolce.
💚Thank you to those of you who consumed literal pounds of our pickled cucumber potato salad.
💚Thank you for trying soups previously unbeknownst to mankind like Sardinian Pasta Fagioli a la Funghi.
💚Thank you for being Pro-Lupini Beans!
💚Thank you for supporting Pasta Sunday!
💚Thank you for appreciating the style of food we worked so hard to execute.
Never say never, but if this is it, just THANK YOU for even giving us a chance. It was an absolute honor. Hopefully we find time to do pop-ups now and again. Plant-based food does not have to be bland, boring, or unsatisfying. If anything, we hope that in some way Sia’s changed your perspective on food or at least ignited an interest in changing the way you eat and/or cook at home. Think of us every time you need a fork to finish the rest of your sandwich.
