If you’re new here, hi 👋 We’re Olives!

We’re a locally owned restaurant in East Grand Rapids, right in the heart of Gaslight Village and just a few minutes from downtown Grand Rapids.

Our menu changes with the seasons, our cocktails are taken very seriously, and our deck is one of our favorite places to be when the weather shines. Lunch, dinner, drinks, date night, a quick bite, a long catch-up with friends, we’re here for all of it.

You’ll find fresh, seasonal food, cocktails worth talking about, a cozy neighborhood feel, and if you time it right, a pretty great sunset from the deck.

We’ve been lucky to become a regular spot for a lot of people around Grand Rapids and West Michigan, but if you haven’t been in yet, consider this your sign.

“Please don’t get rid of this salad.”

We hear it over and over again about our Spring Roll Salad, and we get it!

Fresh, crunchy, a little savory, a little sweet, and that peanut dressing ties the whole thing together.

But here’s the thing… our fall menu arrives next month. And with a new season comes a little menu shuffle.

Will the Spring Roll Salad survive the switch? We’re not saying just yet.

This weekend we’re serving up a S’mores Brownie topped with toasted meringue, toasted graham crackers and a drizzle of salted caramel.

And if you really want to lean into the fireside vibes, pair it with our Black Smoke cocktail. With Benchmark Bourbon, Montenegro, aromatic & cardamom bitters and Applewood smoke, the two together bring all the flavors and scents of a bonfire, enjoyed from the cozy comfort of Olives. 🥃🔥

Tonight’s the night! 🎉 Taste of East is happening from 5–8 PM in Gaslight Village, and we’ll be out there grilling up fresh smash burgers for the crowd. 🍔🔥

Taste of East is free to attend with live music in three locations, artisan booths, kids activities, local shops and businesses to explore, plus Rally on Reeds happening nearby at Memorial Field.

🎟️ Food tasting tickets can be purchased at the Greenridge Realty tent in the center of the event.

🍸 And since Gaslight Village is a Social District, you can stop into Olives for a to-go cocktail, beer or wine to enjoy while you stroll the event.

Prefer to settle in for dinner? Olives will be open as usual during Taste of East, so you can grab a table and enjoy your favorites from our regular menu too.

Come hungry, grab a smash burger, wander Gaslight Village or make a dinner reservation out of it, and enjoy a great night in the neighborhood. We’ll see you tonight!
