The Red Pepper East as many know started in the Spud Bar and was purchased by Vicki Ryan. As she began to grow she made the decision to move the restaurant into a small commercial residence formally known as Orvalโs Lock and Key. With extensive renovations Vicki created what we locals came to know as the East Side local hangout. People would line the sidewalk waiting to get in on our Taco Tuesday specials and our grinders. We canโt forget about the white sauce bottles too! After the flood in 1997 the Red Pepper East moved to its current location and has continued to serve our small community for the past 30+ years.
As most of our community knows our beloved Vicki Ryan passed away this past year and she is greatly missed. With that being said, it is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of our Restaurant. This was not an easy decision to make but one that had to be made due to the current economy.
We have enjoyed serving our community and the camaraderie of our local patrons. We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the continued love and support over the years.
Our last day will be tomorrow, Dec. 10th for our very last Taco Tuesday. We will only be accepting cash payments.
