Here is our menu and band for Octoberfest, on 10/3.
Our menu will be Octoberfest style roast chicken.
Serving 1/2 of whole chicken, with warm german potato salad and homemade sauerkraut

On stage will be Ryan Ahrenholtz, a self-taught solo Americana and outlaw country singer-songwriter from the area. He will be performing from 7 to 10:00.

Help support Shelby County Trails today, by enjoying a spaghetti dinner at the Rocket! Two of us are on the Trails board, so we would love it if you could support this today!

Construction is nearly complete on Phase 2 of our Ballpark to Ballpark Trail and we have begun to shift our focus to planning and fundraising for Phase 3. This next phase of our project will be a section of trail north out of Portsmouth along Highway 191.

At our most recent meeting, we discussed some events in the planning stages to help raise interest and funds for Phase 3. We're excited by the interest being showed and the planning taking place by our friends in Portsmouth. We hope their enthusiasm is contagious and that interest and support continues to grow as people attend these events and discuss what lies ahead. We think this first event in Portsmouth on September 12th will be the perfect opportunity to do so.

If you haven't checked the college football schedule yet, there is a fairly significant game in the state of Iowa on September 12th. If you haven't made plans yet, the Rocket Bar in Portsmouth will be the perfect place to do some carbo loading for the game. If you're an Iowa State fan, an Iowa fan or even just a Spaghetti fan come on out to the Rocket Bar. Please help spread the word and thank you for supporting Shelby County Trails!
