One jar of horseradish meets a legendary little burger stand in Lake Mills, Wisconsin!

This husband and wife stopped into Smugglers, and we learned that her dad runs the famous burger stand at American Legion Post 67! Those little greasy burgers served in a paper bag. And what a great shirt!

He gave our horseradish and mustard a try, and we got to hear about another great Wisconsin tradition.

Love meeting folks like these two! American Legion Post 67 Burger Stand just made the road trip list.

We had such a great dinner at The Den in Houghton, Michigan, we figured we’d leave the fine crew with a little something to remember us by!

Time to break out the Smuggler’s horseradish! 😂

The cooks, servers, and bartenders all stepped up to the challenge. Let’s see how they handle Eagle River’s Horseradish King!

Took Judy, my new travel van, on a little trip up to the Keweenaw!

Stopped at The Den in Houghton, Michigan, and had one hell of a good dinner! Great food and a great crew.

After dinner, we hung out with the staff for a bit, and of course, out came the Smuggler’s horseradish mustard! 😂

The cooks, servers, and bartenders all got in on the action. Nothing like turning a nice dinner into a horseradish challenge!

Thanks to everyone at The Den for the hospitality and the laughs! We’ll be back!

The best part of the Smuggler’s Horseradish Challenge might be the peanut gallery at the bar! 😂

This poor guy is trying to survive the horseradish, and the guy sitting next to him is giving him advice while telling him about his buddy who had to go outside and throw up! 🤣

Nothing like getting a little encouragement from someone who’s been there before!

I’m telling you, you can’t make this stuff up! 😂

This guy rolls into Smuggler’s in a wheelchair, pulls right up to the bar, and says he wants to try the horseradish.

Next thing I know, he’s holding onto the bar, standing up, and taking on that damn horseradish! 🌶️🔥

I just love this guy!

Hell, maybe our horseradish really does work miracles! 😂
