So…..the time has come…. After 22 years of following in Diane Diozzi’s footsteps (she started and had the business for 24 years!!) the Walker family is passing the Benchwarmer torch.
We would like to thank our customers and friends, and the many, many employees who have been with us through the years. “Our” kids have graduated from colleges all over the country and traveled the world like pros. We have a police sergeant, a doctor, teachers, a medical researcher, a physical therapist, a nurse, sales people, caterers, a DJ, coaches, a pastry chef, lots of working moms, a member of the US Army and small business owners!
Our own children Emily, Garrett, Sara and Trent, have grown up in this business, made sacrifices of their own with their parents owning a small town, local business, and without question they have thrived from the same. Of course, we are immensely proud of each of you and we, as your parents, thank each of you, for your dedication to this business and to our family.
We would be remiss in leaving out two indispensables, Joanne and Kayla. Joanne, what a long trip it’s been!! Thank you for your 20 (???) years of amazing service to this business. We absolutely, 100%, could not have done it without you!!
And to our fifth child, Kayla Watson for her “time served”. Kayla, you were the heartbeat of Benchwarmer for several years. You knew every face and every order, and you served it all with the most beautiful smile! Thank you.
It is an understatement to say how proud we are to be part of this community. Thank you for the privilege of allowing us to serve all of you.
When you sell a business, you are not supposed to have an emotional attachment. That’s impossible. And so, it is with great pleasure, and comfort, that on April 1, tahis Wednesday, we pass the pizza paddle to the Vercollone family.
We’ll see you at The Nut!
Thank you Duxbury! ❤️
(Sorry about the pic Sara & Trent, but you made the pics a few days ago! 🤷🏻♀️)
