Aloha!!! We will be closed this week for our quarterly deep-cleaning & preparing for our Fall menu! We will be closed from Tuesday, Sept 8th and REOPEN Thursday, September 17th. Our Saimins (noodle soups) will be back & some new Fall favorites! We wish everyone a successful return to school, especially our amazing High School employees!! See y'all in a week!!

Our extended ʻohana includes hardworking ranchers here on the Big Island 🌋, as well as in Central Washington, Eastern Oregon, Northern California, & Iowa 🚜. We have seen too many small ranchers lose their herds 🐄 & their land in record numbers recently, & this is not okay 🛑. It threatens our food sovereignty, our food safety, & our local economies. WE WILL ALWAYS STAND BY OUR RANCHERS! PERIOD. ✊🏽

Aloha! Our hearts lie heavy today due to the passing of Dolly Parton. She loved Hawai'i and Hawaiian music sparring with the greats. She was a fighter for women's rights, literacy, and the little people. She lived her life full of Aloha!

Aloha! After a gut wrenching evening where we had ohana missing and houses swept away, everyone has been accounted for. I am so proud and in awe of our amazing Mayor Kimo Alameda and all the Emergency Response Team who worked tireless for what would be 2 days straight planning and responding to the Hurricane. The damage is just now being assessed across all the islands with our beloved Hawaiʻi Island taking the hit. There are ancient Hawaiian stories of the power of Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea volcano sisters as the protectors of the Hawaiian islands. The sheer mass of theses mountains cuts into storms in many cases weakening them into systems. So, if you can imagine this could have been so much worst like Cat 3 Hurricane. In Milolii, we had winds of 80 MPH and waves 20 to 35 feet. But we are still here, still standing and this is a lesson to continue to fight for our planet, our land and the harmony we need to have with it as stewards.

Aloha!! We've been up all night monitoring ohana and friends on our home island, The Big Island, as Hurricane Lala passes through. It has been a devastating night and our prayers go out to everyone as no one went unscathed. We will be open Sunday at 10:30am. All proceeds going forward will be to kokua our community, clean up and rebuild. We can sure use some Aloha right now. Mahalo!!!
