y 3-star Green Restaurant in the state of New Hampshire! This great accomplishment was achieved by the implementation of sixty environmental steps targeting, food, water, waste, energy, chemicals, disposables, and building materials. The UNH Dairy Bar is proud to be a leading restaurant in reducing volume by heavily recycling. They exceeded the rigorous certification scale by 77.02%, going above and beyond the requirements necessary for the 3-star certification. The Green Restaurant Association is a national nonprofit organization helping restaurants become more environmentally sustainable. The Green Restaurant Association’s standards reflect twenty-five years of research based on restaurants and the environment. The GRA has made it easy for thousands of restaurants to become more environmentally sustainable in a profitable manner. These standards provide a transparent way to appropriately measure each restaurant’s environmental accomplishment, taking a step closer to increased environmental sustainability. The UNH Dairy Bar has always taken a green minded vision but now their efforts are officially recognized by the Green Restaurant Association achieving a 3-star rating.
