Community spotlight: Mika 🌱
“Mika has been with us since our early days, most markedly first in line for both our grand opening and our first anniversary. We’re so lucky to have such a lovely literal ICON in our community. It feels like every time Mika is in the shop, there’s an accidental run-in with some mutual friends. He’s just the coolest ✨
We’re grateful to have known Mika for quite a while now, and we’re so glad we get to keep seeing him regularly. Whether it’s before a long journey to a dance competition or just a pick-me-up after a long work week, we love getting to catch up and support him with a treat whenever he needs one! 🩵”

“My love for the bean flower initially began with the promise of a free tote – I loved the design so much I got in line at 8am for the grand opening, which is kinda silly, but I’m proud to say I was the beanflower’s first “official” customer!😂 While I knew I was going to be a huge fan of the menu overall, I didn’t expect to zero-in on one drink and have it become an obsession! I’ve always been a fan of nutty flavors (such as black sesame), so after one sip of the boricha (korean barley tea), I knew it’d be my favorite. It’s also caffeine-free so I can have as much as I want, no matter the time!
The addition of whole milk (seriously, I do recommend regular milk for people with dairy tolerance!) and red bean both enhance the tea’s flavor, which I love! I come back all the time not just for this drink, but for community and unexpected run-ins with friends! CC is always so kind and her care so clearly extends to the lovely staff, customers, the welcoming space of the beanflower, & beyond. 🫶🏽”
