NOSH at Jo Rae Cafe NOSH at Jo Rae Cafe is known for eclectic foodstuffs. Her humility, indefatigable spirit, and sense of humor were an inspiration to many people.

This location has an extra focus on healthy, wholesome and nutritious offerings at a student-oriented price and pace. A professor of cell biology, medicine and pediatrics, Dr. Jo Rae Wright was a special friend to many people. She was a devoted teacher and mentor. Dr. Jo Rae Wright passed away after a courageous fight against breast cancer. You may donate funds to honor Dr. Wright at https://gifts.duke.edu/ adding the designation “Jo Rae Wright Fellowship for Outstanding Women in Science”. According to her friend Patsy Saylor, "Jo Rae loved the water, boats, dogs, technology and her science." Jo Rae is survived by her dog HORTON who lives with Patsy and periodically makes an appearance at the restaurant--devouring the dog treats he finds there. At the Trent Semans Center for Health Education, we will be opening a restaurant - NOSH @ Jo Rae Cafe. Our NOSH family is honored to be selected to carry on Dr. Wright’s tradition of excellence.
