Mike D's BBQ is a line of signature BBQ sauces and an all purpose dry rub. I am a BBQ junkie.

Our sauces are my twist on the traditional BBQ sauce with some unique seasonings and spice levels. A core ingredient of our sauces is our all purpose dry rub which is great with beef, pork, or any bird. Whether you are in your kitchen, backyard grilling, or smoking our sauces and rub are the perfect flavor compliment by not overpowering the natural flavor of the meat. History

Our history is still

being written, but has its beginnings with me and my love for smoking meat. In my quest to find the perfect BBQ, I once had a blog where I reviewed the various que spots I encountered while on the road. I also was intrigued by the various sauces and rubs that were available as I wanted to find the perfect combination for my desired flavor. Eventually, I decided to make my own rub and sauce and after many variations I found the perfect combination of sweet, smokey, and a little bite! In 2009, a spicy version of the sauce was entered into a competition for amateur sauce makers in North Carolina. My spicy BBQ sauce came in 3rd place overall and 2nd in its division! Since that time, friends and family have encouraged me to take his product from the backyard to the masses and that is where we are today.

Tired after a long day in Raleigh at great to feel the love from my bbq community and the support folks still have for our food! But today was all about raising money for And thanks to for hosting and for always hosting a great event!!! Already thinking about year 7 and what we should bring to the menu! Last year our Mac bowls were a hit and this year our pulled pork stuffed were a hit!!

At almost this exact moment 13 years ago, my son Aaron died in my arms. It was the hardest and will always be the hardest and worst thing I experienced. He became the inspiration for Mike D’s BBQ.

At this moment in time when things are are hard for me, it’s hard not to feel like I I have failed him and his memory when I had to close the business. It’s really hard to not feel like today😢. I know it isn’t the case, and thanks to everyone who played a role in building community with us!

Hey everyone,

We know the past couple of weeks have been tough—for us and for you, our amazing supporters. This weekend was meant to be our final hurrah, but unfortunately, we’re facing some unexpected delays with QuickBooks holding our deposits for review. Because of this, we won’t be able to open today as planned.

We’ll still be hosting a private event this afternoon, but we’re doing everything we can to get everything sorted so we can open tomorrow for one last unforgettable day!

We’re so sorry to anyone who was planning to come by today. Please hang in there with us and come out tomorrow to help us close things out in the biggest way possible. Let’s make it a day to remember!

Dear Friends and Supporters,

We will be closed this weekend, not due to the weather, but because we need time to reflect and assess the future of our restaurant. As I’ve shared in recent updates, it’s been a challenging period for us. Business traffic has been slow, delivery app fees are high, and we’re still working to secure the capital we need to continue.

Over the next several days, we’ll be taking a step back to explore if there’s a sustainable path forward. We deeply appreciate your support—it has brought us this far, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
