Yes, there's a marathon going on nearby today, 5/2, but there are still ways to get to us! We know that Hillsborough Rd is open, as well as Broad street south of Green street.

Spirit Mursday (https://www.elmosdiner.com/ ) next week is with George Watts Montessori Elementary School - Monday, April 13th through Thursday, April 16th. 4% of all in house dining sales will go to the school's PTA to directly benefit our public schools.

The rumors of the death (closing) of Elmo’s Diner are greatly exaggerated. There is an unrelated restaurant in New York called “Elmo” that IS closing on March 13th, not us!

[UPDATE] THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to everyone who has reached out this morning to help us get this taken care of before the snow this weekend!! We knew y'all would come through for us and we appreciate our Durham community more than you know. Doors are getting fixed as we speak!

Good morning Elmo's fans! A little bit of a different message--our diner got broken into early this morning, and the perps broke our glass doors to the outside. With snow starting later today and cold temperatures right now, we're looking for someone who can come replace the glass TODAY. If you know of a lead, please post here (and please DON'T call the restaurant about it--want to leave the phone lines open for other business).

Thank you very much and we will have a temporary fix so we don't freeze!
