In an era when images, logos and anything else you can think of can be âgeneratedâ in under a minute, we are so proud to share art that takes months, logos that are the work of countless conversations, drawings, revisions and background stories over coffee and w**e. The murals on our walls, the shirts we sell, the stickers, designs and almost everything else you see when you walk into any of our restaurants are the works of our longtime artist in residence, Beth Spieler, and, in the past 3 three years, Shaun Compton. Together they have take my Texas memories and made them visible, combining them with North Carolina icons, notable people we love with Texas roots, and so many other inspirations to create a tapestry that surrounds you while youâre eating and that you can take with you when you go.
Just like our brisket, it takes a long time, but we wouldnât have it any other way. Thank you to everyone who appreciates what weâre doing - we love being able to celebrate the arts in our small business!!
