Last week, the Steamworks crew headed into the San Juan National Forest for our annual spruce hunt. 🌲🍻

Every summer, we gather spruce tips near Durango that eventually make their way into Spruce Goose, our holiday spruce beer released around Thanksgiving. It’s one of our favorite traditions: a little hiking, a little foraging, a few dogs, and the kind of ingredient you can’t fake.

Colorado’s big birthday called for something crisp, cold, and not trying to give a speech. 🇺🇸🏔️🍻

150 is our American Light Lager brewed for Colorado’s 150th anniversary of statehood on August 1. Clean, refreshing, patio-ready, and exactly the kind of beer that looks good with a little sunshine and a few bubbles doing their thing.

We kept it light. Colorado did the rest.

Colorado Kölsch looking very comfortable in its natural habitat. 🏔️🍻

Huge thanks to for another gorgeous high-altitude shot of our can doing exactly what it was built for: hanging out above sea level, catching mountain light, and making a pretty strong case for being one of the most Colorado beers in the fridge.

Crisp, clean, trail-friendly, patio-approved, and clearly not afraid of a little elevation.

A little piece of Durango bike history, freshly framed the Steamworks way. 🚵‍♂️🍻

This 1990 World Mountain Bike Championships banner has been hanging near the bar since we opened in 1996. Recently, our GM and master craftsman Joel Hayes gave it the custom frame it deserved, complete with bike elements worked right into the design.

Next time you’re posted up near the bar, take a closer look. This one’s got decades on it.

Huge thanks to Colorado Brewers Guild for having us out, and to everyone who stopped by the Steamworks booth for a pour. Brewer Clay was there repping Durango, talking beer, pouring beer, all while sneaking in a little guitar time too.

Our friends at the Durango Arts Center are hosting Industry Night tonight for Durango’s hospitality crew. 🎭🍻

Tonight’s performance of The Notorious Nugget starts at 7:30 PM and is Pay What You Can. This original musical melodrama is set in the Colorado mountains in 1914 and brings together prospectors, romance, villains, shady mining claims, and plenty of western fun.

Fresh hat alert. 🧢🍻 The beer’s cold, the lids are dialed, and your dome officially has options.

Steamworks hats are available at the retail kiosk inside the brewpub, including these flat bill snapbacks ready for patios, river days, bad hair days, and pretending you’re “just stopping in for one.”

Come for the beer. Leave with the lid.
