WE WON HOMETOWN FAVORITES😭☕️

But this post isn’t really about winning.

Yes, seeing Coffee on 3rd named a Hometown Favorite means more to me than I can put into words. But when I look at this award, I don’t just see a title.

I see every risk.
Every late night.
Every prayer.
Every tear.
Every moment I questioned whether I was capable of doing this.
Every time I wondered if I should keep going.
And every single time God reminded me, “Trust Me.”

I hope this win inspires someone.

I hope it inspires my employees to dream bigger than the life they think they’re capable of.

I hope it inspires my friends to take the risk they’ve been afraid to take.

I hope it inspires our customers to finally chase the dream God has placed on their heart.

And I hope it inspires my boys to grow up knowing that when God gives you a calling, you don’t have to understand the entire plan before you say yes.

You just have to take the first step.

Four years ago, Coffee on 3rd was a dream and a giant leap of faith. There have been seasons where I truly didn’t know how we were going to make it. There were moments when giving up would have been easier. But God continued to provide, lead, redirect and remind me why we started.

And somehow, that little coffee shop became so much more than coffee.

It became a place for people to gather.
A place for friendships to begin.
A place to give back.
A place to love people.
A place where we get the opportunity every single day to live out our mission of loving like Jesus.

That is what this award represents to me.

It represents what can happen when you stop letting fear make your decisions and start letting faith lead them.

So if you’ve been waiting for a sign to start the business, chase the dream, make the change, take the risk, or say YES to something God keeps putting on your heart…

Maybe this is it.

You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You don’t need to know how every piece will come together.
You just need enough faith to take the next step.

God has taken a dream that once felt impossible and turned it into something I never could have created on my own.

So yes, we won Hometown Favorites. 🏆☕️

But to me, this is so much more than winning.

It’s a reminder that Jesus is SO good.
A reminder that obedience is worth it.
A reminder that the scary leap of faith might just lead you exactly where you were always meant to be.

Thank you to every single person who voted for us, walked through our doors, encouraged us, prayed for us, worked beside us and believed in Coffee on 3rd.

This belongs to all of us🤍

And if our story gives even ONE person the courage to take their own leap of faith, then that means more to me than any award ever could.

All glory to God. Always. 🙌🏼

Why am I doing this?

Being a business owner is HARD. And sometimes, even when you pour your heart into serving your community, loving people, and doing your best to make a difference, the complaints can be the loudest thing you hear. It makes you stop and ask yourself, Why am I doing this? Is this really what I’m supposed to be doing?

Four years ago, I was a stay at home mom. I didn’t carry the weight of running a business, the stress of making decisions, or the responsibility of trying to make everyone happy.

And now, four years later, here I am, a business owner, some days wondering how I got here and asking God, “Why did You call me to this? Why did You put this on my heart? Why does something that I love so much have to be so hard?”

Some days, I struggle. Some days, I question if I’m doing things right. Some days, the weight of it all feels heavier than I ever imagined it would. And when you give so much of yourself to something, it hurts when people don’t see the heart behind it.

But then I have to remind myself that this was never just about coffee truly..

I may not always understand why this journey has to be so hard. I may not always get it right. And I may have days when I question everything. But I’m learning that being called to something doesn’t mean it will always be easy. Sometimes, the hardest seasons are the ones that grow our faith the most.

I’m still learning. I’m still growing. I’m still figuring it out. But I pray that through every cup poured, every conversation shared, and every person who walks through our doors, Your love is felt.

Because at the end of the day, it was never just about coffee. It was always about You, Jesus. 🤍

And on the hard days, I pray I never lose sight of that. 🙏🏼☕️
